Creative,
comprehensive, constructive and guided English classes for P.1-F.6 students in a
clean, bright and comfortable environment at a convenient location.
The
majority students are from MPS, DGS, DBS, St. Paul's Convent, VSA, St. Stephen Girls' and
Wah Yan with additional private lessons for boys
and girls from other local/international schools from as young as
K2.
Poetry recital lessons as well as prose reading in preparation for the Speech Festival are
available upon request.
Classes for Cambridge Young Learner's English, SAT, TOFEL,
GCE, GRE, TELTS , IELTS , IB and DSE are available throughout the year.
All classes
are conducted by two tutors Ms Carol
Choi and Ms Liza Choi , BA in Marketing at Western Washington University (USA). Ms Carol
holds Advanced Certificate ( 1st Class Pass ) in English Speakers Of
Other Languages; Pitman (April 2003), University Of Cambridge Certificate Of
Proficiency In English (June 2002); MSS graduate (Maryknoll Sisters'School
P.1-F. 6); MPS in-house trainer for Hong Kong Speech Festival since 1999 ; ECA
"Fun With English" volunteer teacher for P. 6 girls on alternate Saturday
mornings back at MPS (2001-2); MPS-PTA web editorial board (2000-2) ; British
Council "ICTE-A" Introductory course in teaching English to Adults (1995); Upper
Chine School (UK 1980-81). For 3
consecutive years (1999-2001), with the full support of the Principal and all
relevant English teachers during the intensive internal Speech Festival
rehearsals, MPS was able to walk off with flying colours for all grades from P.2
- P.6. In Nov 2001 at the 53rd Annual Speech Festival, MPS girls were
exceptionally outstanding and excelled with brilliant results, having seven
winners, eleven 1st runner-ups and ten 2nd runner-ups.
